Lisa Fittipaldi is an artist who happens to be BLIND
She doesn't see color or distance. She can't see dimension or print. So she does what comes naturally! She paints people in vignettes of life, realistically, in watercolor. She paints bold dramatic abstracts, richly detailed and spectacular in color.
To the amazement of everyone, Lisa began painting in the summer of 1995 after being told that her blindness was permanent. She is a self taught artist who is noted for her unique creativity and a willingness to explore new subjects. Her portfolio contains a diversity of subjects in a magical style that maintains her signature characteristics. She successfully portrays to the viewer what she 'sees' in her mind, rather than what she can not see with her eyes.
Prior to her loss of vision, Lisa traveled the world observing customs, cultures and experiences of other lands. The foundation for her unique and creative style is based on an 'inner vision' derived from these observations. Her ability to paint a complex subject and capture it's essence, without eyesight, shows a real inner strength. Her paintings have been collected internationally since 1997. She continues to travel the United States, Canada, Europe and South America exhibiting her work.
To quote The Austin American Statesman: "Lisa Fittipaldi lost her vision but not her determination to express herself artistically. How she paints, however, may remain a mystery. It's the question everybody asks and one that confounds even her."
Lisa has been featured on NBC's "On The Porch" & "Rod Starne's
Journal", FOX "Positively Texas", ABC's "Texas Country Reporter"
& "Good Morning Texas" and the CBS Evening News. Feature articles on her
unique artistic style have been printed in the Dallas Morning News, Houston News Today,
Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express News, Mobile Register, Miami Sun Sentinel, Miami
Herald, and Southwest Art Magazine just to name a few. Her works have been featured
internationally on TeleMundo. She has exhibited in the Nation's finest Galleries and
received numerous awards. She is sought as a visiting lecturer and by collectors

a tax-free, non profit organization which provides educational technology to blind and
